PRACTICE AND DIRECTIONS

Owens Field | TS Martin | Legacy Field | Blatt Field

The Bombshells practice every Tuesday and Thursday at OWENS FIELD from 7 to 9 pm. Please bring cleats or running shoes, mouthguard, and water to practice and be ready to start promptly at 7pm. No experience necessary, but enthusiasm is a must!
- On occassion we will practice (and play games) with the USC Women's team. Below are the locations of USC's practice. Be sure to email recruiter@columbiawomensrugby.com to find out about specific practice location.

Owens Field Park (across from Owens Airport, Columbia)

1400 Jim Hamilton Blvd is the address of the airport, but is the best way to search for Owens Field using mapquest or Google Maps.

From Downtown

- Take Assembly Street toward Rosewood Dr (toward the USC Football Stadium)

- Make a LEFT onto Rosewood Drive

- Make a RIGHT onto S HOLLY ST directly after the Publix (the road between Publix and the BP gas station)

- Follow S HOLLY and then make a RIGHT onto AIRPORT BLVD (it will be your last right turn before the road deadends and only goes left)

- Make a LEFT onto JIM HAMILTON BLVD

- OWENS FIELD will be on your LEFT

Spring Practice Field - TS MARTIN PARK

Directions to TS MARTIN

From Downtown

- Take Taylor Street towards the Richland Mall, out towards Two Notch Rd

- go LEFT onto Two Notch Rd/Hwy 1

-go LEFT onto Germany Street

-You will pass Cresent Hill Cemetery, after the cemetery take your first right. The fields will be directly in front of you.

(If you pass WA Perry Middle School on Germany St/Barhamville Rd you missed the turn)

From W Beltline (near hospital)

- Take W Beltline toward Hwy 1

- Take a Right onto Edison Street

- Go through residential area and follow road around until you get to the fields

Legacy Field (Strom Thurmond Center)

Address is 1000 Blossom Street, Columbia, SC, 29201.

Free parking available in the Coliseum parking lot and metered parking available on Assembly St.

I-77 S toward Columbia
Merge onto SC-277 toward 1-20 W/Columbia/Augusta via exit 18.
Right onto Elmwood Ave.
Left onto Assembly St.
Right onto Blossom St.

From East

1-26 E toward Columbia
Merge onto I-126E/Lester Bates Freeway
Exit right onto Huger Street and follow the exit's curve.
Left onto Gervais St.
Right onto Assembly St.
Right onto Blossom St.

From West and South

I-20 E/US-76 E toward Columbia
I-26 E/US-76 E toward Columbia via exit 64A
Merge onto 1-126 E/Lester Bates Freeway via exit 108A
Exit right onto Huger St. and follow the exit's curve
Left onto Gervais St.
Right onto Assembly St.
Right onto Blossom St.

Blatt Field (Sol Blatt PE Center)

Street parking available on Sumter and Wheat Streets. You may need to drive around a bit to find a parking spot, so please arrive with time to allow for parking. If you do not have a USC parking decal be aware that you should not park in the USC parking lots. If you do you may be subject to a fine.
